Admissions Process

The admissions process, step by step

Six steps, from your first inquiry to your child’s first day.

1. 1

   Submit an Inquiry Form

   Start by completing our online Inquiry Form — a few basics about your child and family.

   Once we've reviewed it, a member of the Admissions Team will contact you about the next step.

   Takes about five minutes.

2. 2

   Parent Meeting & School Tour

   Families invited to continue will meet with Rabbi Shlomo Goldberg, Head of School, and visit YAYOE.

   It's a chance for us to learn what you're looking for in a school — and for you to see our classrooms and ask anything you like.

   Preschool families also meet with Morah Shifra Mandel, Director of the Graff-Rand Early Childhood Center, and tour the preschool.

3. 3

   Apply to YAYOE

   After the meeting, families approved to continue receive an invitation to complete the online application.

   Submit it together with the application fee and requested documents: report cards, evaluations, testing and school records where applicable.

4. 4

   Student Assessment

   Once the application is complete, we'll schedule an assessment suited to your child's age:

   • Early Childhood: an age-appropriate play visit with our Early Childhood team.
   • Elementary and Middle School: grade-level assessments in Limudei Kodesh and Limudei Chol.

   These help our educators understand each student's background, strengths and needs.

5. 5

   Admissions Decision

   With the application, parent meeting and assessment complete, the Admissions Team reviews the full picture and sends your family a decision.

6. 6

   Registration

   Accepted families register in Parent Locker to secure their child's place. Registration for the coming year opens January 18; the early-bird, regular and late fees are in the dates below.
